App terms

These terms cover the StatLens iOS app, including TestFlight testing, and its research, account, and subscription services. Separate website terms apply to this website.

By using StatLens, you agree to these terms. The iOS app’s software license is governed by Apple’s standard End User License Agreement. These terms describe our service and subscription rules and do not replace that license or limit rights that applicable law gives you. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.

Research, not a prediction

StatLens presents historical NBA player and team statistics and tools for exploring them. Historical results do not guarantee future performance. Parlay support describes historical results, not a win probability or personalized betting advice. Data can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, or unavailable; check the sample, filters, and individual games behind a result. StatLens does not accept or place wagers, handle betting funds, or promise winnings. You are responsible for decisions you make using the information.

Intended audience and your account

StatLens is intended for people age 18 and older and is not directed to anyone under 18. The initial app is offered in the United States on iOS. Use an account and sign-in method you control, keep access to them secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not use another person’s account or evade access limits.

Free and Pro

Free includes core research features, favorites, and up to five active saved lenses in total across players and teams. A saved welcome lens counts toward that limit; favorites do not. New Free lenses use the research settings available on Free. Pro adds the advanced features described in the app and unlimited saved lenses while Pro access is active.

When Pro actually expires, up to your five newest-created lenses remain active, including lenses with advanced settings. Those settings continue to apply to updated results in the saved lens view. A retained lens with Pro settings is view-only on Free and cannot open in the lens builder; creating new advanced lenses or editing advanced settings requires Pro. Other lenses are paused, hidden from the active library, and unavailable for use. Their original filters and snapshots are preserved. Paused lenses do not count toward the five active-lens slots, and deleting an active lens does not automatically promote a paused one.

Verified Pro access on the same account restores retained paused lenses. This preservation is subject to account deletion, applicable retention requirements, and continued operation of the service. A canceled subscription keeps its paid access until the paid period ends, including any applicable grace period; merely canceling renewal does not immediately pause lenses.

Apple subscriptions and renewal

Sign in to StatLens before subscribing. Pro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or annual Apple subscription. The initial US plans are US $6.99 billed monthly and US $59.99 billed yearly. The annual plan is charged upfront for the year. The price, billing period, and any applicable taxes shown by Apple when you confirm a purchase govern that purchase.

Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through Apple subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next renewal charge. Apple handles renewal billing, payment issues, and any required notice or consent for price changes.

You can manage or cancel renewal in Apple’s settings at any time. Canceling normally leaves access available until the end of the paid period; a refund or revocation may end access earlier. Refund requests are handled by Apple through Report a Problem, subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law. We cannot promise that a refund will be approved.

TestFlight and Sandbox testing

In-app purchases made in TestFlight use Apple’s Sandbox and do not create real payment charges. Test subscriptions may renew and expire more quickly than live subscriptions, and test access can change or reset. Sandbox purchases do not establish a paid production subscription. The live billing terms above describe App Store purchases when the public app becomes available.

Your subscription follows your StatLens account

A purchase belongs to the StatLens account signed in when the purchase is made. On another supported device, sign in to that same StatLens account and use Restore purchases if needed, with the Apple Account used for the purchase. You do not need to subscribe again simply because you get a new device.

Subscriptions do not automatically transfer to a different StatLens account, even when the same Apple Account is used. Family Sharing is not included. If you encounter an ownership conflict, contact support before buying again.

Canceling and deleting are separate

Deleting your account removes saved and paused lenses, favorites, and other account data as described in our privacy policy. It also removes your ability to use Pro through that deleted account. Creating a new account does not reclaim or transfer the old account’s subscription. Contact support before deletion if you are unsure; we can help you find Apple’s cancellation or refund process, but cannot guarantee transfer, recovery, or a refund.

Acceptable use and content

Use StatLens lawfully. Do not disrupt the service, bypass subscription or security controls, access other users’ information, or extract or redistribute our data feeds without permission. StatLens and its suppliers retain rights in the app, branding, and supplied content. Team and league names and other third-party marks belong to their owners; their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

You retain rights in original content you provide, such as custom lens names. You allow us to store and process it as needed to provide the service. The app’s sharing feature lets you share the research images it creates; it does not grant a license to resell or republish an underlying data feed.

Availability and changes

Features and data availability can change, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may restrict access when necessary to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. We will provide notice of material changes to paid services where required and honor applicable consumer rights. StatLens is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law; nothing in these terms excludes protections or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may revise these terms. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice of material changes in the app or by another appropriate method, and seek agreement when required. If you stop using the service, separately cancel any Apple subscription to stop renewal.

Operator and contact

StatLens is operated by David Broers. In these terms, “StatLens,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that service and its operator.
